OF remembers planting of trees on the Back for 1953 Coronation

We have recently heard from Colin Tremlett (R 47-55) about the attach newspaper cutting (East Anglian or Ipswich Star) regarding the planting of four trees on the Back celebrating the last Coronation in 1953. We doubt that anyone there now is aware of this planting. Colin has lived in New Zealand all his working life and is hoping to return and visit Framlingham in the summer. We believe Colin is the only person to have been Head of School for two years from September 1953 to July 1955. The trees must have been planted in the autumn of 1953 for Colin to be Head Boy. We hope the trees can be identified if still there.
