75th anniversary of Brandeston Hall opening

On Friday 6 October 2023, the College celebrated a very special event, marking the 75th anniversary of the opening of Brandeston Hall. Over 150 people, which included a wonderful mix of Old Framlinghamians and former staff, came together for a joyous afternoon spent reconnecting, reliving happy memories and recounting school day tales.

Of the many guests, ten of the first boys to join the school in 1948 were in attendance and provided their recollections of life at Brandeston Hall, under the first Headmaster, D.D. Kitttermaster. Pictured left to right in the main picture are back row of Tony Martin, David Risk, Rex Draper, George Gooderham, Keith Handley and front row of Norman Mayhew, Andrew Wright, Jim Blythe, Colin Wigg, Roland Nice.

An incredibly proud day for all who came, the event marked an important and significant year in the Prep School’s history.

Thank you to all who made it such a wonderful event and you can view the College photo library by clicking here.

I have added additional photos below provided by Bob Williams (Hon OF).
