OF Rifle Club Grabs a Trophy!

This is a competition fired at 500 and 600 yards over Bisley’s hallowed turf, against six other schools. After winning the competition in 2002, the club were narrowly beaten in 2003, but this year revenge was sweet: a single point separated the OF’s from our old enemies, the Lawrentians.

Glorious spring weather ensured the warmest day of the year so far. Conditions allowed consistent high scoring from many firers and the OF’s were led by the experience of our Captain, Nigel Burnip, who wind-coached the entire team. Steve McDowell won the medal for highest score of the day with a highly creditable 96.9, whilst Neil Joy was worthy winner of the Hon Sec’s champagne prize for his calmly constructed 95.6.
