The team for the AGC match was: Gavin Cowell (4) & Richard Graves (5); Alex Cameron (6) & Matt Stolls (6); Martin Lamb (8) & Brian Evans (10): Norman Mayhew (11) & Chris Sneath (12); Jim Crosbie (13) & Barry Lorkin (12). In the afternoon Michael Spencer (12) replaced Norman Mayhew.
The match against the College, kindly arranged by David Morgan, ably supported by Chris Hobson, was well matched and well fought. It’s hoped that this will be the first of a new era of annual matches. The format was singles, matchplay over 18 holes.
