OF Golfing Irregulars Hold-off Strong Ipswichian Challenge

Woodbridge Golf Club had, as ever, been wonderfully welcoming (no least because of the substantial number of members playing for each team), and the course had been in superb condition – a great credit to the greens staff given the region’s drought conditions.

The OF team was: Norman Porter (captain and selector); Norman Mayhew; Roger Askew; Ian Bryce; Peter Howard-Dobson; Chris Milner-Moore; Martin Lamb; Dudley Holland; Robin Anderton, Norman Dodd; Brian Evans and Michael Spencer.

The OFs retain the handsome trophy – and there’s talk of something even grander to mark next year’s 10th anniversary match!
