The Society of Old Framlinghamians South East Supper Saturday 25 October 2014 at 7pm

This supper will feature a Guest Speaker. Neil Flowerdew attended the OF “Three Heroes” tour to Amiens and Ypres in April this year where he spoke movingly about the famous cavalry charge led by his great uncle, Captain Gordon Flowerdew, at Moreuil Wood on 30 March 1918, when he was posthumously awarded the VC in a battle which has been described as decisive in thwarting the Germans’ last push of the war. In this WW1 Centenary Year Neil will recount the story of one of the Society’s great war heroes.

Andrew Wright who lives at Piltdown will be pleased to assist anyone to find local accommodation which should be booked soonest as there are other events that weekend in the Uckfield area. Andrew can be contacted on 01825 712803 or on his email below.
