Norman Porter writes : This year’s competition – the 4th in the series, returned to Thetford Golf Club on Monday September 4th. Seven schools participated: Framlingham, Greshams, St Felix, Culford, Ipswich, Woodbridge and Norwich. The competition is open to former students of all schools in Norfolk and Suffolk, maintained and independent.
And – guess what? Fram won it again – the second time in four years, bringing home the wonderful replica of the Open’s Claret Jug and a double magnum of claret – to say nothing of pride in the achievement. Congratulations to the six team members: Norman Mayhew, Robin Anderton, Barry Hitchcock, Mike Schneidau, Colin Wigg and Ben Swinburn.
