Death of former headmaster at Brandeston

Jon Newbery (Z79-84) was in touch with the sad news that his father George "Paddy" Newbery (Hon OF) had died on Boxing Day 2020 aged 80. He had been battling MND for the past couple of years. Paddy taught at the College for 4 terms (1979-80) before taking over as the Headmaster at Brandeston from 1980 to 1985.  He was an Honorary OF when he left to become head at Hurstpierpoint Junior School.
