Colonel Norman Robert Salew OBE (Garrett 1917-1920)

Good sportsman at the College who afterwards played Hockey for Sandhurst, Berkshire, Hampshire, the Army, Combined Services and Wales. During WW2 he served in 1st Battalion, Essex Regiment and was awarded an OBE in 1945, when he was Deputy Director, Army Welfare Service. He was also a Deputy Lieutenant for Essex and Vice President of the Essex Hockey Association.
