His Excellency The Honorable Hkun Hkio Sao (1927-1930)
In February 1937 he succeeded his father as hereditary ruler of Mongmit, which is now part of Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). He reigned as ruler until 1952, when it ceased to be a separate province. He was Foreign Minister for Myanmar 3 times in all – firstly in 1948, then between 1950 and 1958 and finally between 1960 and 1962. He died in 1990.
