Lt Col John Manby OBE (1913-1918)

Joined Indian Army on leaving the College and served in Afghanistan and Waziristan campaigns. Retired from Army in 1925, but recalled in 1939 when he commanded the exhibition train illustrating the war effort of the Indian Services. The exhibition toured India and was visited by 8m people. He was awarded the OBE in 1945.
