Major General Roland Debenham Inskip CB CIE DSO MC (Garrett 1894-1902)
Son of Rev OD Inskip who was headmaster of the College. Prominent soldier who was awarded DSO and MC during WW1 and was wounded in France. At the outset of WW2 he was appointed Major-General and awarded the CB. Distributed prizes at Speech Day in 1947, President of SOF in 1954 and was Chairman of the College Centenary Appeal Committee. He died in November 1971.
