Professional

Mr George Ernest Jeffes OBE (1893-1896)

Qualified as a solicitor and was Deputy Assistant Director at the Department of Agriculture and Lands in the Soudan Civil Administration (1906-07). During WW1 served as legal adviser to the Commander-in–Chief, Egypt and was awarded the OBE in 1918.
