Mr John Foreman (1867-1867)

Born in 1854, he was a great traveller and linguist. Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS). Author of “History of the Philippine Islands”, where he lived for 12 years. He was also a member of the Philippine Delegation attending the commission for the Peace Treaty in Paris in 1898, after the end of the Spanish-American War. He qualified as a barrister in 1910 and died in 1937 at the age of 83.
