Mr Spencer Pelham Flowerdew CBE VD (1894-1899)

7th brother of Lt Gordon Muriel Flowerdew VC (1894-99). Chartered Civil Engineer, who rose to become Chief Engineer of both Indian State Railway and Northern Nyasaland Railways – built railway from Blantyre to Lake Nyasa (Malawi). Was awarded CBE in 1936. Was also awarded the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve Officers Decoration (VD for short). President of SOF in 1939.
