Update
I thought it was about time I communicated since leaving the college back in 1987. I went to Kingston Polytechnic as it then was. Read law. Afterwards attended the College of Law in Guildford and passed my Law Society Finals. I was a trainee solicitor in a firm in Norwich called Fosters ( one of the oldest firms in the country established in 1760) and then went to Leeds and took a position with a law firm now called the DLA Piper – the largest law firm in the world. I am now a partner in a national solicitors firm called Gateley LLP , headquarter in Birmingham and I specialise in banking and Finance Litigation acting for funders. I am married to Alexandra and we have two children William (13) and Isabella (11). I still enjoy hockey (although a broken knee has kept me from playing for two season) alpine skiing and ski mountaineering, sailing and most recently road cycling.
I am still in contact with Ed Stroud and to a lesser extent Alex Drapper from school
I will be attending the OF Family Day on 29th June along with my brother Robert Baird ( who is flying in from Australia. My sister Tessa Baird an OF lives in Australia and my younger brother Andrew ( an OF) lives in Suffolk.
