Joe Lipman (R 2012-19) Becomes the College’s Youngest Governor

On Friday 17th March, Joe Lipman attended his first meeting as a Governor of Framlingham College – he is, by some years, the College’s youngest ever governor, following a board initiative to ensure that it is able to draw on the experience of recent leavers.

Joe was a Moreau Leaving Scholar between 2019 and 2022, serving on the SOF Council with distinction, and has – while studying at Edinburgh University – demonstrated an entrepreneurial flair in launching a sustainable shopping App, “Name”, on which we have reported before.

Joe comments on his Governorship in typically modest terms, “I became a Moreau Scholar as soon as I left the College and have kept a very close relationship with the SOF since leaving. I have been immensely honoured to be appointed as a Governor at Framlingham College. I feel very passionate about the direction in which the College is going and truly believe that Louise and her team are constantly making the Framlingham College experience better and better. The ethos of ‘“Where every pupil creates their own story” is felt throughout the Prep School and the Senior School. I have full trust in the College to deliver a holistic experience for pupils to prepare them for the world after Framlingham.”
