OF running London Marathon in memory of grandfather

This year Alex Baines (R 2010-2015) will be running the 2023 London Marathon and raising funds for Dementia UK.  He’s never done a full marathon and his goal is to raise £2023! His Grandad passed away in 2013 after suffering from Alzheimers for 6 years and he says it’s thanks to his grandad that he was lucky enough to attend the College.

He’s been accepted into Dementia UK’s team and his personal page is here

Oh and he’s also dressing up as ‘Where’s Wally’! – photos will follow!

This weekend, in preparation he’s running the Chelmsford Half Marathon!

Good luck, Alex. A fine tribute to your grandfather, and I’m sure he’d be proud of you.
