John Bridges (S57-66) will be signing copies of his new book by Poppyland Publishing at Parham Airfield Museum (IP13 9AF), on Saturday 25th November between 13.00 and 15.00. The front cover is a painting of a Doodlebug passing over Parham airfield, based on a rare colour photograph of the time.
The title of the book is Doodlebugs and Rockets, Norfolk and Suffolk, 1944 to 1945 and comprises 13 chapters, 9 appendices, 6 maps and many photographs which explore the impact of the new ‘Vengeance Weapons’ on Norfolk and Suffolk, and the significant part played by local forces in combating them.
