Wizard of NZ still going strong at 92

Jeremy Kemp (S70-79) was visiting Christchurch in New Zealand this week and went to Cathedral Square hoping to see a distinguished OF and was not disappointed.  He was delighted to see that the official Wizard of New Zealand was still entertaining the crowds at the age of 92.  When at the College he was known simply as Ian Chappell (42-45). 

Jeremy said “It was certainly interesting to listen to him. He said that the officials in Christchurch had always had a problem with how to treat him but there was certainly no lack of people around him being entertained by his stories. He couldn’t believe it when I walked up to him!  Wizardry wasn’t a career I was told about at Fram!”

We last saw The Wizard at an OF event to mark 150th anniversary of the College in Hunter Valley near Sydney in 2016.
