Ed Wharton, organiser of the OF Norfolk Supper writes: ‘The Norfolk Supper was held on Thursday 28th November at the Kings Head in Bawburgh. The supper should have been held at the Strangers Club in Norwich but with initial uptake poor, it became unviable for the Club to host the dinner. In typical fashion there was a late surge in interest and 26 OFs sat down to dinner. It was especially good to see one or two younger OFs plus a few who would not normally attend. The Kings Head looked after us well and lived up to its reputation with a superb meal. After dinner Andrew Cook (Director of Development) gave an honest and informative update on how things were going at the College. He reported that although there were concerns and challenges, due in the main to a change in Government, the College was well placed to deal with them. On a day-to-day basis the school was performing well, particularly on the sports fields with a number of notable achievements including a 1st XV victory over Greshams.
Most departed at around 11pm but a few headed off to the bright lights of The Prince of Wales Road..…….’
Those who attended were Andy Allen, Chris Bellamy, Jack Bonham, Sam Daisley, Will Dickerson, Jack Caswell Dodd, James Chapman, Mike Chapman, Andrew Cook (Director of Development), John Fuller, Chris Garrard, Nick Gowing, Kate Jackson, Neil Jackson, Hilary Ling, John Ling, Jason Living, Tony Martin, Luke Matthes, Simon Mills, Andrew Morton, John Reader, Michael Smy, Charlie Tacon, Mike Townrow and Edward Wharton.
