Historic rugby match to mark 100 years of rugby at the College

Congratulations to the College 1st XV rugby team for their epic 69-0 win against Ipswich RFC during the special rugby centenary match to celebrate 100 years of rugby at Framlingham College!

The match, which took place on Sunday 22 September 2024, replicated the first match played at Framlingham in 1924. It was a wonderful moment for Old Framlinghamians, pupils and the school community to come together in celebration for this historic anniversary, showcasing true sport spirit, teamwork and lifelong friendships.

You can also listen to a special episode of the Framlingham College ‘In Conversation’ podcast where we are celebrating 100 years of rugby at Framlingham College.  In this episode, our host, Edith D, will be reflecting on the College’s rich rugby tradition by speaking to our current first team captains, Dan and Felix, as well as exploring what the future of rugby at the College looks like by speaking to our new Head of Rugby, Will Cotterill.  Available on Amazon and Spotify: https://www.framlinghamcollege.co.uk/news-events/podcast/
