Caroline Mallett, Former College Head of Art, Proposes OFSTA Online Exhibition

Back in 2015, Caroline Mallett was determined that the College’s strengths in Art and Design should be celebrated as part of the 150th Anniversary of Framlingham College.

As an Honorary Old Framlinghamian, she has also been a major contributor to the establishment of the OF Society of The Arts, which is now hosted on our Website – check it out under the Specialist Groups menu.

Membership of the Group is open to everyone, regardless of whether you’re a practitioner or simply have a love and interest in the widest possible interpretation of The Arts, be that through painting, sculpture, music, print, textiles and design, drama, poetry, photography, architecture, craft (this is by no means a complete list). Membership costs just £10 a year, and is free to under-25s.

To encourage membership and contributions to an online exhibition, Caroline has emailed scores of OFs who were exhibitors at the 2015 exhibition, seeking their membership of OFSTA but also encouraging them to contribute examples of, or about, their work, for an online exhibition later in the year. But the invitation isn’t just for those who exhibited in 2015 – we’d love to welcome OFs of all generations who’d like to take part. If that includes you, then please drop an email to ExhibitionsOFSTA@oldframlinghamian.com

You can read Caroline’s emailed letter Here.

Please now visit the OFSTA Page, and sign-up for membership.
