OF Vice President behind Suffolk Show Ball returning

Jenny Binder (P99-11) is part of a team working on bringing this event back on Saturday 16th May 2026 at Trinity Park, Ipswich.  The Suffolk Show 2026 takes place 27th and 28th May.

Jenny said it was really exciting and they have received a lot of support from businesses and those who ran the committee previously.  “We started planning it probably in August. It’s really good fun – there’s a really good buzz around it. It’s really glamorous and it’s a nice way to start off the show season. We felt like we really wanted to do one and think it’s a really nice thing to do for Suffolk’s rural community. We have sold over 500 tickets – we still have tickets available.”

The ball will begin with a Cremant reception accompanied by saxophone music followed by a four course meal. The emphasis will be on local produce, in line with the show’s ethos.  Afterwards there will be music from the London Function Band, and an auction and raffle to raise funds for the ball’s chosen charities.

Funds raised at the ball will support the Suffolk Agricultural Association Education Fund, East Anglian Air Ambulance and St Elizabeth’s hospice.

Table bookings close on April 20. Tables of 10 at £125 per person can be purchased by emailing Margie Morris – margie.morris@suffolkshow.co.uk
